Loving Moment Between A Dog and A Cat

“Did my dog just pet my cat?? And did my cat just hug my dog??” – Jordan Ireland

Sometimes I am just amazed at the Video Age we live in.  People around the world catch the most amazing things on video that we would otherwise not believe.  For example the video below.  If Jordan had told his friends what he saw, most everyone would have not believed him.  I know I would have been accused of just making up a story.  I mean come on, a dog petting a cat and then that cat giving the dog a hug in return?  Who would believe that?

But as you can see in the video below, that is exactly what happened.  It doesn’t seem that this is a trick or something that the two animals were taught.  But instead, it seems like it is real action and reaction between different species.  My first thought after seeing the video is how conditioned we are that cats and dogs are naturally born enemies.  This made me think of the different cats and dogs we had as I grew up.  And I can now recall that there was a mostly symbiotic relationship between the two.

When you watch the video you will see the dog ‘over’ the cat.

If you were to just pause the video it would almost seem as if the dog was going to pounce on the cat.  But then you see the most amazing thing.  The dog takes his right front paw and gently pets the cat with a long stroke.  Then the cat gets up.  And if you were to pause the video there, you would think the cat was going to attack the dog.  But again as the video continues you see the cat stretch out its leg and give the dog a hug.  It happens slowly yet quickly at the same time.

All I know is that this video will warm your heart and put a smile on your face.  If you like this video, don’t forget to Like and Share or even Comment below.
