Dog Becomes Guardian Angel And Saves Little Boy

It’s a miracle how dogs can be used to help and save us in a time of need.

This is the true story of an amazing dog named AC.  In a small town in Mississippi, there is the Stafford family and their loving dog, AC.  Jeff, the father of Nolan, first met the Chesapeake Bay Retriever at a Veterinarian’s office.  Sadly, AC was scheduled to be put down when the previous owner didn’t want AC.  AC was in a serious health crisis and Jeff knew why.  He could tell that Nolan had been over shocked by his shock collar.  Jeff decided to rescue the dog who was on “death row”.

Soon after Jeff got married to Diane and soon after that, they had a new baby boy, Nolan.  One day when Jeff was out of town and Diane was doing yard work, Nolan now 17 months old wondered off from the yard.  Once Diane noticed Nolan was not in her sight anymore, she hurriedly looked for Nolan and noticed AC was gone too.  The family lived near the woods and a lake.  So Diane quickly called 911 to ask for help to find her son.  As she continued looking for Nolan, she made her way down to the lake.  Diane said that the lake was so far away she couldn’t imagine Nolan making it that far.

But Nolan and AC, his faithful dog, did make it to the lake.

By the lake, Diane noticed Nolan’s red had.  And then within a quick moment, as she scanned the shore, to her left, she saw AC standing next to Nolan.  As she rushed over to where Nolan was, she could see he had been drugged up to the shoreline, but he was faced down and not moving.  When Diane picked him up, she could tell he was having difficulty breathing and had mud in his mouth.  The rest of the story is in this powerful video below.  They explain how their “guardian angel” rescued Nolan and how he survived.
